Back to Basics: BE
As an expert in mental health, I'm often asked, "how do you manage it all?" Well, let me be real with you β it's a journey, not always easy, but one filled with growth and transformation.
I've declared that "Joy is my assignment," and to live into it. I've learned to take moments to simply stop, BREATHE, and BE. Yes, I even schedule "breakdowns" β trust me, it's a lesson worth sharing! π
π¨ BREATHE: Amidst LIFE LIFEING, I remind myself to pause and take a deep breath. Iβm still amazed how breathing helps me connect with the present moment, calm my racing thoughts, and focus on the next right move for the moment. It's a simple yet powerful act that anchors me in the now.
BE: Embracing the art of simply being is truly liberating. In a world that values productivity over people and comes with the weight of navigating historical stereotypes, I've had to learn to simply be. Iβve learned it's okay to take breaks, to rest, and to prioritize self-care. Giving myself permission to just be without judgment or guilt has been transformative, and trust me, it's still an ongoing journey.
I also understand that it's okay not to have everything figured out. In this iteration of myself, I've realized that my enoughness is enough (although I have a daily reminder sign!). Mental health isn't about perfection, but rather about embracing our humanity and celebrating progress.
So, if you ever feel overwhelmed or question how to handle it all, remember to give yourself grace. Let's go back to the basics of breath and being. Take a deep breath, cherish the gift of simply being present, and know that you are not alone. Together, let's embrace the journey of mental health and spread the joy of living life to the fullest with #joyistheassignment.
